Concentrio AG among the speakers at SAE On-Board Diagnostics Symposium-Americas
The company held Tuesday 13th a talk about Signal Flow Analysis required for OBD Compliance Reporting.
14/09/2022. Munich. Concentrio AG sets foot in North America in a fantastic forum as the On-Board Diagnostics Symposium, organized twice every year by the American organization SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). For the last 30 years, it’s been the industry’s go-to resource for trusted information on the latest regulatory happenings and critical topics. The Symposium started yesterday, Tuesday, September 13th at Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, California. It’ll end Thursday the 15th and is open to online on-demand registration, too.
Our talk: Signal Flow Analysis required for OBD Compliance Reporting
As a cutting-edge solution and tool provider for complex embedded systems, with its Concentrio Tool Suite as the best example, Concentrio AG added its specialist point of view with a talk on Tuesday 13th at 1:30 p.m. Under the title “Signal Flow Analysis required for OBD Compliance Reporting”, the company’s co-founder and co-CEO, Stephan Mauk, gave an update on the advances and challenges of a tool-based evaluation of signal paths for OBD to support the homologation of cars by authorities such as CARB. Mr Mauk showed how this approach enabled a German OEM to deliver the first analysis of signal paths to CARB in July 2022.
Next, the talk discussed current challenges, such as multiple ECU evaluations of signal paths, and how to tackle them. Also of interest was Concentrio’s insight into the current status of the HRCS standardization plans and how it could contribute to enable other OEMs to achieve the requirements of CARB with less effort.
Back to normal
The 2022 event is special as, after three virtual editions due to COVID-19 pandemic, it means a reunion for attendees. Forward-thinking engineers, executives, OEMs, suppliers, regulators, and government will address the ongoing need for technical and regulatory updates. Also, they’ll get answers to most challenging OBD questions about latest and future regulations and how to work towards them.
